On fire

Ok, well I didn't exactly plan to post this. I was going to post a thing about fun summer activities.(which I might post later)  But I really, really have to tell you about this. I think it's amazing. Here it goes-
So today is Father's Day, yay! Happy Father's Day to all you dads out there. It was also church today. And during the Sunday school hour, we were watching a video about some Christians in Vietnam. You know, you always hear about persecution, and such. But these Vietnamese, they have a huge heart for God. They worship him with all they are. They give up everything to follow him. They suffer beatings, and worse for not denying Christ. They don't fight back. They have this on fire passion for God. I think it's amazing that they are going to give everything up, be beaten, and persecuted for God. They lose their families. And it seems to me that sometimes we're afraid to speak up, and not give in to peer pressure because we do not want to be made fun of, or get kicked out of a group or such. But these Christians, they give up everything, I think that we all can learn from them, they suffer from a lot. We should be able to stand up for Jesus as free Americans. We need to be ready. We need to step out of our comfort zone. The time is going to come when persecution is big. I have no idea how big. But we have to be able to suffer from little things before we can face the bigger persecutions. It's going to happen some day. I have no idea when, but it will. Are you ready? Are you willing to stand up for God with everything you are? Would you deny him if someone put a gun to your head, and would kill you for being a Christian? You can ask and ask all these questions, but really think about it. Pray for these people who suffer from violence because of their faith. They are your brothers and sisters! God loves you so much. Goodness, it's overwhelming.
=) smiles,
